Herts & Essex General Data Protection Regulation
This information relates to the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into effect on 25th May 2018
The purpose of the GDPR is to provide a set of standard data protection laws across the EU, making it easier for you to
understand how your data is being used and to give you greater control over its use.
Herts & Essex Bridge Club undertakes to collect and use your personal data in compliance with the GDPR.
We hold your name, address, telephone number and email (if you have provided them to us) and only use them for the direct use
of the club and for bridge use for the Hertfordshire Bridge
Association (HBA) and for the English Bridge Union (EBU).
Both of those organisations use it only for the purpose of bridge.
With this information the EBU are able to award you Master Points, send you the Bridge magazine and diary and send you information about their bridge events. The HBA use it to send you information about Hertfordshire bridge events.
We use it to send you information relevant to HHBC including
results, our bridge and social events, charity events and members wanting partners.
If you are content with the information that we hold, how we process
it, how we currently contact you, etc, then you do not need to do anything.
If you wish to restrict any of the information that we hold then you should contact us but be aware that restricting some of it may preclude you from some of the information or benefits listed above. We can clarify these if you ask.
